The season 12 winner of America’s Got Talent has finally been announced!
Congratulations, Darci Lynne Farmer!
From the beginning, Darci Lynne had something special. Her first audition blew the judges away. Not only did the 12-year-old girl have talent as a ventriloquist, but she also had a beautiful singing voice.
She knew just how to develop her characters and created different comedy acts with each puppet. When she introduced her diva rabbit, Petunia, to the world, it was clear that there was a lot more where that came from.
Each puppet had a completely different personality and storyline. In fact, she even created a few love stories with some of her famous characters.
In one episode, her nervous mouse puppet, Oscar, professed his love for Mel B and serenaded her. In another, her grandma puppet, Edna, couldn’t stop flirting with Simon Cowell!
In the finale, Darci brought out Petunia and Oscar and performed a duet to the Beatles hit, “With A little Help From My Friends.” Having the help of two puppets might have just sealed the deal for Darci!
Each act helped her move all the way through to the end and finally secured her spot as the 2017 winner of the competition!
Darci Lynne also answered the question the entire nation has been thinking, telling ET what a 12-year-old plans on doing with her million dollar prize winnings.
“I am definitely going to give some to my church. Because they always raise money for different missions and mission programs,” she said. “And second, I have to give my mom a dishwasher because we definitely need more household appliances.” But Farmer doesn’t forget to a little something for herself on the list, adding “And a pug. I want a pug really bad!”
So, what do you think of this young ventriloquist singer’s unmatched talent?
